In Sanskrit “Prana” is defined as breath, respiration, life, energy and strength, and “Ayama” is defined as stretched, expansion, regulation, prolongation and control.

Why Pranayama? Reduces Stress & Strengthens the Immune System, Calms the Mind, Improves Focus and Concentration Increases Lung Capacity & Removes Toxins from the Body.

In this workshop we will discuss the relationship between Pranayama & Yoga, including the Eight Limbs of Yoga, The Nadis and the Chakras. You will be guided through a restorative asana practice, which prepares the body for our Pranayama practice which will cover various Pranayama techniques.

About the Instructor:

Jeff Perlman is a Certified Iyengar Instructor, a Clinical Ayurvedic and Pancha Karma Specialist with advanced accreditation in Pulse Diagnosis and Marma Therapies, a member of the National & California Ayurvedic Medical Associations, a Certified Massage Therapist and a Certified Cordon Bleu Chef.
